What Says Christmas More than Green and Red?

Today I have used China Glaze Outta Bounds and OPI Magazine Cover Mouse to do a stripe design. I was going to incorporate some gold as well but it didn't really work out.

I think it's such a Christmas combination! It reminds me of gift wrap.

The only thing I wish is that my lines were a bit more even; it would make the look cleaner. But overall I think this is a simple (ish) Christmas design. I like the contrast of the shiny green and textured red as well.

If you Like it Then You Should Have Put a Stripe on It

I saw this beautiful blue from China Glaze (Sparks Will Fly) in my stash the other day and knew I had to use it. It's a magnetic polish which means that you can put a magnet over the wet polish and it will form into a design (the magnet comes with the polish). I'm not a massive fan of using the magnet; I just love the colour of the polish! I wanted to keep it simple so I just did one coat of the China Glaze and then used a silver nail pen and put in a couple of stripes.

So simple but so effective! The silver lines did get a bit smushed in a couple places but that's only noticeable if you look really closely.

I love this colour as it is really heavily pigmented and goes on so easily. This whole look took me no time at all, yet I think it is stunning. I can see me wearing this in many different shades.

Racing Stripes

I was in Winners the other day and my best friend spotted some Butter London polishes. I have been eyeing this brand up for some time and was really excited to snap some up. They were cheaper than regular retail price but still $13 a piece so I only got two, Torch (a shimmery coral) and Billy No Mates (a pale grey). They are both a bit sheer so I layered them over a coat of Sally Hansen White On.

I used striping tape to get this effect. I should have let the white dry better as it pulled up slightly when I removed the tape.

At first I wasn't convinced by the polish. I think I had built Butter London to be amazing and was maybe thinking that unicorns would jump out of the bottle when I removed the cap, lol. I think the sheerness of the formula got me down a bit and although it was on sale, it was still expensive.

As I wore it more, I really liked it. I still think it's expensive but wouldn't say no if it was gifted to me, lol!! I would also like to try out some of the other colours. I'm sure I'll have more in the future ;)
